DEPARTURE TIME : At 8h AM from the Hotel/Riad

  • Day 1 : Marrakech 1 Hour Transfer To Imli

After breakfast in Marrakech you will be transferred in a comfortable vehicle to Imlil valley where your journey starts. You will meet our local representative for your bike fitting and orientation.

You start cycling up towards Tamatert Pass leaving behind the famous Imlil valley with its beautiful views, once on the top you stop for a short break to catch your breath then you cycle down to Tachdirt valley.

This cycling path will take you through several Amazigh villages, with a relatively short distance to ride from one village to another, you will have ample time to explore and get under the skin of this intriguing part of the Great Atlas.

After the lunch break is over, we will keep cycling our way trough the nearby valleys all the way back to Imlil village where we will be spending the night.

  • Day 2 : Imlil - Ouirgane Valley

Today's itinerary is a challenging one as we'll be crossing over the Tizi Mezzik pass, which stands at an altitude of 2280 meters. To ensure the safety of both the mules and our group, we'll be walking alongside the mules that will be transporting our bikes to the top of the pass.

Once we reach the pass, we'll mount our bikes and begin the descent on a winding and sometimes steep single track that winds its way through the beautiful valley of Azadene village. The descent can be challenging but the views over the beautiful valleys make it worth the effort. Along the way, we'll have the opportunity to take in the stunning natural scenery that surrounds us.

As we proceed on the biking trail, the total amount of walking will be an approximation as it may vary depending on the trail conditions or other factors. Please keep in mind that this is a demanding hike and it is essential for participants to be in good physical shape.

  • Day 3 : Ouirgane - Ait Zitoun

Embark on a thrilling 2-day mountain biking journey into the heart of the rugged backcountry where you will be challenged both physically and mentally. We will transport your overnight kit bag to the remote village of Ait Zitoun, where we will spend the night in a simple guesthouse, surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the area.

As we begin our journey, we will roll down to the dam of Ouirgane and soon start a trail that runs above an impressive gorge. The first section is substantially exposed and steep, so be prepared for a challenging hike-a-bike for the first half hour. You will need to wear appropriate rubber-soled biking shoes as the terrain is rocky and uneven. But the effort will be worth it, as from the crest, an epic 10 km stretch awaits, mostly downhill, along the river gorge, with awe-inspiring views throughout. The path is reasonably wide and not too technical, but there are steep sides and some risk, so concentration must be on top.

After lunch in the village of Imi n'Talat, we will embark on an even more adventurous journey as we tackle a mix of technical singletrack trails, rocky riverbeds and challenging gravel roads around the area of Ait Zitoun. We will push ourselves to the limit, as we climb steep inclines, navigate tight turns and descend steep rocky trails. We have some flexibility here, and can lengthen or shorten the route based on the group's wishes.

As we reach our finishing point, dinner awaits us. After a well-deserved rest, we will head to the roof terrace, from where we can see the city lights of Marrakech to the north, the snowy Atlas mountains to the south, and thousands of stars above- paradise. The total distance of mountain biking for today is approximately 35 km, but this is just the beginning. Get ready for an even more challenging day tomorrow as we explore even more remote and rugged trails.

  • Day 4 : Ait Zitoun - Imi Ntala.

Get ready for an epic mountain biking adventure as we tackle some of the most challenging and technical singletrack trails in the area. We will start with a singletrack ridgeline ascent that will test your skills and endurance. The grip is good, but you will need to pick your line carefully and save your energy for the tricky sections that are thrown in to keep you on your toes.

From the top of this challenge, we will have a traverse and singletrack descent back into a riverbed on the other side of the valley, where we will face another very technical ascent. This one is rockier and requires good trials skills to navigate. It's a lung buster, but the level of grip is incredible, and it will drive you forward, making it an incredibly rewarding section.

After reaching the top, we will be rewarded with a fantastic singletrack descent. Then we will have a shorter, smooth and steady singletrack traverse that leads us onto a dirt track road, and eventually to the head of another fast, smooth singletrack descent. We will stop for lunch near the van, just 1km down the road. After lunch, we will have a short, steady traverse through several rustic villages to Ait Ahmad where we will spend the night in a guesthouse. An earlier finish, usually around 4.30pm, will help you recover for the next singletrack 'Mega Day' tomorrow. This is a great village to explore with its incredible landscape, scenery, and caves.

  • Day 5 : Imi Ntala - Imidle—Marrakech

Get ready for the ultimate mountain biking experience on the last day of our adventure. This is a real singletrack 'Mega Day' that will test your fitness and technical ability to the limit. But don't worry, the trails are so good that you just 'have' to keep going!

We will start with a gentle traverse and climb to the top of the pass, which takes 45 minutes and includes a 20-minute hike-a-bike. But the rewards at the top are incomprehensible! If you love singletrack, this is your paradise. The trail is fast and flowing to start, and as it drops in elevation, it becomes more technical, with sections in the riverbed that are easy to ride.

One of the sections of singletrack runs through a dry riverbed. It's smooth with rocks lining the twisting route, so if you come off-line, you'll be punished. The twisting route will make you throw the bike around as you shift your weight from one pedal to the next to find the grip out of the slide and into the next bend. It's almost like a slalom. Big gear, flat out. The total distance of mountain biking for today is approximately 38 km. After the ride, we will drive for 1h and half to Marrakech, where the tour will end.
