Jbel Sirwa Trek

Our hike starts comfortably, hiking up the Warmane valley with a view of Oleanders everywhere. Many small villages cling majestically to the hillsides. Surrounded by tiny terraced fields, we may see the fortified collective granaries, witnesses of periods of insecurity. After lunch on the edge of the wadi, we’ll reach the Tazouggaght plateau (2500m) where we set up our camp.

We are crossing a mineral setting strewn with dark blocks and tufts of DRINN, that leads towards the summit of Sirwa (picnic with a landscape of the High Atlas range). The route takes an obvious and gradual path : only the optional ascent of the last rocky peak requires two steps of climbing. We then reach the volcanic base of Tikniwine, admiring the splendid basalt organ as we pass, before settling in the sheepfold of Iriri (l’Aazib n’Iriri). It's a good opportunity for those who want to swim in a river, a night in a sheepfold or in a tent.

An easy path on the ridge takes us north towards Amassine.Traversing the bottom of wild valleys crossed by clear streams and strewn with original rock formations makes the experience unforgettable. We take place and build our camp, Night in tents.

Leaving the high meadows to gradually find the Berber civilization, we will have lunch with the locals in Amassine and visit an Agadir, a superb fortified attic. After some contact with the inhabitants of Amassine, skilled farmers and carpet makers we will have a night somewhere in a local house in Tachakouchte.

Last step of our journey will be a visit to Tachakouchte village. We leave this beautiful land and head towards Tizi n'Tichka. At the end of the day we reach Marrakech.
