  • DAY 1 Imlil - Imi Oughlad

We'll transfer from Marrakech to Imlil, stopping at various villages and valleys along the way. When we arrive, we'll meet with the team and load our gear. Then, we'll start the first climb of the day to the top of the Tamatert pass (2300m), where the support vehicle will be waiting to prepare lunch. After lunch, we'll follow the singletrack above the Imenane River, passing through several narrow villages on the way to Iml Oughlad (1382m). The route includes some short climbs, but is mostly downhill.

  • DAY 2

We'll start the day with a big Amazigh breakfast at around 8:30am. Then, we'll take an uplift to the top of the second pass of the week, where we'll begin the first of several singletrack rides. The first ride is fast, technical, and rocky, with plenty of twists and turns to keep you on your toes. This is an easier and faster route than the one on the first day, and it will be sure to put a smile on your face. After the first ride, we'll take a short break before starting another climb. At the top, we'll descend into a more technical singletrack, this time in the big mountains. We'll ride through the off-the-beaten-path village of Id Issa, where we'll stay for the night in a local guesthouse and have a traditional lunch. After lunch, we'll take another singletrack ride, either tackling some tough technical sections or enjoying a fast and flowing ride through the red valley, depending on your preference

  • DAY 3

Today is a 'mega' day of singletrack, located at an altitude of nearly 2000m. The singletrack starts 1.5km from the Gite and follows a winding, steep path over a riverbed, connecting several villages. The ride is fast and smooth, with a few climbs and fast sections requiring quick braking to navigate tight turns. After a few hours, we reach the famous Red Rock of Morocco, where the singletrack is an incredible playground with excellent grip and flow. We'll stop for lunch in a secluded, wooded area of the riverbed, where Mohammed and Abdul will have prepared mint tea for us. After lunch, we'll warm up with a 1.5km ride before crossing a dam to reach a more stunning singletrack through a spectacular gorge. The scenery and trail quality are truly breathtaking.

  • DAY 4

The ride begins with a challenging climb on a narrow ridgeline trail. The ground is firm, but you'll need to choose your path carefully and conserve energy for the tougher stretches that are thrown in for added difficulty. Once you reach the top, you'll continue on a cross-country route and descend into a riverbed on the other side of the valley. The next climb is rocky and technical, requiring excellent balance and agility. Despite the difficulty, the traction is excellent, making this a rewarding section. After reaching the peak, you'll enjoy a thrilling descent on a single track trail. This is followed by a shorter, smooth traverse on a single track that brings you to a dirt road. From there, you'll head towards another fast, smooth single track descent, ending at the van for lunch, just one kilometre down the road. After lunch, you'll embark on a leisurely traverse through several quaint villages, eventually arriving at Ait Ahmad, where you'll stay for the night. You'll have an earlier finish today, usually around 4:30pm, giving you time to rest up for the next "mega day" of single track riding tomorrow. Ait Ahmad is a charming village with stunning landscapes, beautiful scenery, and fascinating caves to explore. (31°07'43.77" N 8°16'03.87" W / 1483m)

  • DAY 5

Today is the final day of the bike ride, and it's the best one yet. It's a true "mega day" of single track riding that will test both your endurance and technical skills. The trails are so good, you won't be able to resist the temptation to keep going! The ride begins with a gentle traverse and climb to the top of the pass, which takes 45 minutes and includes a 10 minute hike-a-bike segment. The views at the top are breathtaking! If you love single track riding, this place will feel like heaven to you. As you look down into the giant valley below, you'll see a thin ribbon of single track winding its way into the distance. The trail starts off fast and flowing, but becomes more technical as you descend into the riverbed. It's all rideable, but you'll be eager to maintain your speed to maximise the "grin factor," so mistakes are bound to happen. It's simply impossible to ride for hours on end without making a mistake at some point, especially when you're pushing yourself to the limit. One section of the trail runs through a dry riverbed. It's smooth with rocks lining the winding route, so if you stray off course, you'll be punished. The twisting path requires you to throw the bike around as you shift your weight from one pedal to the other, searching for grip as you slide through each bend. It's like a slalom course, with big gears and flat-out speed. This is just one section of the trail – there are too many to list – but there's something for everyone here. From slow, super technical stretches to smooth, flat-out sections, there's a little bit of everything. The riding continues for hours on end, with no letup. The finale is a rickety bridge crossing that leads to the van for a late lunch. You'll be tired and dusty by the time you finish! After lunch, you can either transfer to Ouirgane in the van or ride the gentle 16 km downhill to the Gite. Unfortunately, it's now time to pack up your bike before it gets dark and prepare for the transfer to Marrakech in the morning.
